Gazipaşa history dates back to 678 BC. It was a port city established on both sides of the Hacımusa Stream under the name Selinus at that time. It is in the east of Antalya and 180 km away. It is bordered by Alanya in the west, Mersin Anamur District in the east, and Karaman province in the north. There is a 50 km long coastline to the Mediterranean coast and a 7 km long sandy area. Gazipaşa is an attractive tourist destination close to many holiday destinations with its location overlooking the Mediterranean.
Sugözü Stream, fed by snow waters from the Taurus Mountains, flows into the Mediterranean through a green valley. Trouts grown in ice-cold waters are served to local and foreign tourists at the trout restaurants by the river. Tourists swimming in the Stream have also the chance to cool off in the fresh water alternative to the sea. Gazipaşa has a typical Mediterranean climate character, where the influence of the Mediterranean, on which it is located, is clearly felt. This character is a climate feature where summers are hot and dry, and winters are warm and rainy. Only in January and February the precipitation rate is almost equal to the same period around Rize, which is the wettest place in Turkey.
The maquis, which is the vegetation of the Mediterranean, dominates the region. After 800-1200 meters, it is possible to see pine forests mixed with Mediterranean heather. At higher altitudes, forest varieties such as black pine, cedar, spruce and juniper are common. Many types of vegetables and fruits (such as tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, fresh beans, strawberries, avocados) are grown in Gazipaşa. For this, it is one of the important centers also for agriculture.
Gazipaşa, embodying many features together, besides being an attractive tourist destination to invest in, it is a constantly growing and developing district where you can live.
